Finally we have arrived, card #31. I wanted to make a bee card as Spring is here and soon, so will be the flowers and of course, the bees!
The card base is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" cut the long way. The black mat measures 5 1/4" x 4", and the patterned paper mat measures 5" x 3 3/4". The bottom checkered strip measures 5" x 1 1/2". Everything was cut from my scraps except the card base.
I used my Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge for the border and the sentiment mat. The border is found on p. 47 and was cut at 3/4" from yellow and black using the border shift function. I added a scrap piece of black ribbon to the bottom of it.
The sentiment mat was cut at 2 1/2" and 2 3/4" and was found on p. 25
The bee is from Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge and was cut at 3 1/2" (found on p. 68) using layer 1, 2 and 3.
The sentiment is from Studio G and was found at Michaels in their dollar bin, and was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also added an action wobble to the bee.
I entered this card in the following challenges:
